The UPSC aspirants have to choose one optional subject from the list of 48 optional. The UPSC civil services examination provides the aspirants with a choice of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science as optional subject. It comprises of two papers each of 250 marks. So, the optional paper has total 500 marks.
