With a service life of roughly 120 years, it is Asia’s second-longest rail/road bridge.

After a lengthy construction period, the Veer Kunwar Singh bridge was finally completed on June 11th, 2017. At the Chapra-Arrah Bridge, it was reduced from 130 kilometres to 40 kilometres (25 miles).
